Priscilla Mawusi Joppa – Research and Communications Officer

Priscilla Mawusi Joppa is a researcher and communications professional specializing in policy research, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and programme implementation. As Research and Communications Officer at IGED-Africa, she supports the organization’s advocacy, knowledge generation, and public engagement efforts.

Her work includes developing research and communications products, supporting proposal development, coordinating high-level dialogues, and strengthening partnerships with governments, civil society organizations, and development partners. She has previously worked with the West Africa Centre for Counter-Extremism (WACCE) and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.

Priscilla holds a First Class Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Information Studies from the University of Ghana and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She has also completed professional training in artificial intelligence in peacebuilding, African Union civilian operations, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, and fraud awareness.

She is committed to producing evidence-based research and strategic communications that strengthen gender equality, peacebuilding, and sustainable development across Africa.
