Ignatia Danso Abeam – Programme Assistant

Ignatia Danso Abeam is a development professional specializing in programme coordination, policy support, and gender-responsive development. She serves as Programme Assistant at IGED-Africa, supporting the implementation of programmes that advance gender equality, peacebuilding, and inclusive development.

Her responsibilities include supporting programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, research, advocacy, and the delivery of capacity-building initiatives across the organization’s portfolio. She also contributes to strategic planning and programme management through her experience at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.

Ignatia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Gender, Peace and Security at KAIPTC.

She is passionate about gender policy, governance, and international development, and is committed to supporting evidence-based programmes that create lasting social impact.
