The Initiative for Gender Equality and Development in Africa (IGED-Africa) partners with governments, civil society, development organizations, researchers, and communities to advance gender equality, protect human rights, and strengthen the leadership and participation of women and girls across Africa.
IGED-Africa was established in 2011 by three young Ghanaian women who had a strong conviction that the key to attaining democracy and development lies in promoting gender equality and human rights.
